Claudio Di Renzo , has been teaching Traditional Shaolin gung fu in Argentina since 1976. Claudio Di Renzo sifu was born in Buenos Aires in 1960. In 1974, he began his training in Northern Shaolin with Aquilino Martinez, the only instructor of the style that existed in that time. Claudio Di Renzo always remembers his initiation stage with emotion, respect and eternal gratitude.
In 1978, Claudio Di Renzo began to study Yang shi taijiquan at the school of Master Ma Tsun Kuen under sifu Fernando Chedell. In 1980 he joined the school of Master Wang Tsing (Cheng Man Ching's student) with whom he studied for more than a decade as his first formal disciple, and then he studied taijiquan with various instructors, specializing in Yang and Wu. In 1979 he won the First Open Forms tournament in Argentina in the Chinese Forms, Weapons and Grand Champion categories, becoming the first Open Circuit Forms Champion in the country. From there he won dozens of forms and weapons tournaments, including his classification as number one for the National Team of the Argentine Federation of wushu gong fu in 1987. In the same year he became the first vice president of that federation. -
In 1980 he traveled to Miami to meet the teacher Jerry Lee and become his formal disciple and representative until 2005. He was then introduced to the traditional HUNG GAR and the Bei Shaolin (Bak Siu Lam). In different trips and visits of the great teacher Lee to Argentina, Claudio completed Hung gar, and learned Wah Lum Tong Long, Bei Shaolin, Choy Lei Fat and Wing Chun. Between 1980 and 1983 he studied Shao Nien Shi Pa Chiao, Fujian Shaolin system of animals with Master Wu Chi San, together with Iron Palm and tiger claw, and training with herbal medicine.In 1985 he won the Republic of Arms Championship and began at the request of director Miguel Hladilo, his writing career for the magazine Yudo Karate where he writes for years, becoming to date the most prolific writer of Martial Arts in Argentina. -
In 1989 sifu Di Renzo joined the MOY YAT Ving Tsun family with Sifu LEO IMAMURA, the highest authority on Wing Chun in South America. Today Di Renzo holds the top level in Ving Tsun, and in 1992 he became a Second Generation disciple of Grand Master Moy Yat, under the name Moy Go Jo, in the first such ceremony in South America. Almost all the current instructors of Moy Yat Ving Tsun in Argentina have been his students. In 1993 he joined the Traditional Wushu Association of Master Adam Hsu, as a formal member. In 1996 he founded Faktra. Argentine Federation of Traditional Kung Fu, together with the Kai Men Association and others. -
In August 1996, together with his brother Horacio Di Renzo, he traveled to China, to gain recognition at the Second International Jinan Wushu Festival where he obtained two first places. In the same year he became the FIRST PRACTITIONER IN THE WEST of the Wenshengquan style, under the tutelage of Master Wang An Lin, heir to the style, from Jining City, Shandong Province. In September of
2000 travels to Hong Kong and China, and performs baishi ceremony with sifu Wang An Lin in Jining. In Hong Kong, he is charged with founding the Argentine Chin Woo Association.
In 2005, he traveled to China for 4 months for the 3rd time. He visited the Chin Woo of Shanghai and Foshan, the tomb of Yueh Fei, the Southern Shaolin Temple in Fukien, the home of Ku Yu Cheung and Wong Fei Hung. He also trained with master Wang An Lin from wenshengquan .
He was taken in Guangzhou as a disciple by the master Lai Han Liang of the Bei Shaolin Quan style, the Bak Sing Choy Li fat and the taijiquan. He took over the leadership of Lai gong fu, and remains under his tutelage today.
